The Qlik Sense/SQL Developer is responsible for all aspects of our Qlik Sense implementation and report development. As Qlik Sense developer, you will own the data integrity and strength of the solutions recommended. You’ll be acting as a trusted advisor to our teams and 3rd parties and an effective mentor for other data and reporting professionals working alongside you. You will need a deep understanding of the Qlik Sense platform but just as importantly, top-notch people skills to get your ideas and solutions across to stakeholders and gain integrity to get your visions built into successful solutions. This role reports to the Chief Information Officer.

Essential Functions

• Hands on experience in Qlik Sense development, dashboarding, data modeling and reporting (ad hoc report generation) techniques
• Skilled at Data transformation, the creation of QVD files and set analysis
• Deep experience with SQL queries, stored procedures and query optimization
• Experienced in application designing, architecting, development and deployment using Qlik Sense. Must be efficient in front-end development and know visualization best practices
• Strong database designing and SQL skills. Experienced in RDMS such as MS SQL Server, Oracle etc.
• Strong communication skills (verbal/written) to deliver the technical insights and interpret the data reports to the clients.
• Leadership qualities and thoughtful implementation of Qlik Sense best practices in order to deliver effective Qlik Sense solutions to the users.
• Able to comprehend and translate complex and advanced functional, technical and business requirements into executable architectural and report designs
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation
• Experienced in data integration through extracting, transforming and loading (ETL) data from various sources.

Education Required

• Bachelor’s degree required. Additional job related experience/and education may substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis

Knowledge and Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience in a leading role in delivering Qlik Sense, SQL and reporting projects
• Experience within the telecommunications industry a plus
• Minimum Qlik Sense certification:
• Qlik Sense Business Analyst
• Qlik Sense Data Architect
• Qlik Sense system Administrator
• Skill in analyzing and improving operational effectiveness, program analysis and strategic planning, managing multiple projects, conflict resolution, mentoring and motivating managerial staff
• Skill to manage fiscal resources, work with minimum direction, manage multiple projects, and prioritize team assignments

Physical Demands

• Must be able to sit at a desk 80 percent of the time
• Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
• Must be able to frequently communicate via telephone and in meeting rooms
