SkyWater is thrilled to be kicking off a VP of Finance & Administration search with a reputable strategic communications agency in the Minneapolis area! I’ve networked with the President and Chief Marketing Officer of this company for years, but have never had the chance to partner on a search – until now!
Reporting directly to the President, you will be the top accounting and finance person for the entire company (and at this point, also the sole accounting and finance person). The President is looking for someone to evaluate and drive change – the leadership team is nearing retirement and he wants this person to lead the charge for the next group of leaders! Hybrid and flexible, with one of the sweetest office spaces I’ve ever seen!

Responsibilities

• Direct the accounting in day-to-day operations, including AP, AR, general ledger and financial reporting
• Compile and review financial statements and deliver to fellow senior leaders
• Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Act as main point of contact for outsourced HR and IT function
• Sit on senior leadership team and drive financial strategy

Desired Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business-related area
• 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
• Extensive experience sitting on the leadership team and driving financial strategy of a company
• Strong GAAP knowledge and accounting foundation
• Forecasting and budgeting experience
• Overseeing IT and HR (or the outsourced functions)
