We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to oversee the repair, maintenance, and operational adjustments of food packaging lines, minor building maintenance, and blending area equipment repair. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and continual production of high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Plant Engineer to coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks and repairs across various process areas.
• Assist in managing food packaging equipment rebuilds and preventive maintenance, setting priorities that minimize production downtime.
• Schedule and oversee planned maintenance activities in collaboration with the lead mechanic and coordinator.
• Provide constructive feedback and communicate effectively with the Plant Engineer regarding equipment and maintenance issues.
• Ensure timely completion of monthly preventive maintenance checks, ensuring all tasks are performed accurately and thoroughly.
• Participate actively in ongoing maintenance training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Use E-Maint software to track preventive maintenance compliance, assign tasks, and close out completed work orders.
• Conduct detailed equipment inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements of malfunctioning components using various testing equipment and tools.
• Adhere to OSHA safety standards and health requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
• Follow plant GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and uphold strict safety regulations.

Educational Background:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational training in a relevant field is highly desirable.

Experience and Skills:

• Proven industrial or manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and welding equipment.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery functionality.
• Ability to engage in physical activities such as walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Capable of multitasking and meeting tight deadlines.
• Experience with maintenance tracking and efficiency software is advantageous.
• Certification or familiarity with E-Maint software and processes is a plus.
