Job Summary

The Senior Corporate Accountant is responsible for performing the day-to-day accounting operations while ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and financial statements. As a vital member of the Company’s finance team, the Senior Corporate Accountant must work closely with other departments to understand, maintain, and improve accounting procedures, ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial reporting requirements, and ultimately furnish stakeholders with quality, relevant information in a timely manner.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Standardize, drive process improvements, and perform tasks related to month end close. This includes preparing and entering journals entries in the Company’s ERP System (SAP). 
• Perform Balance Sheet Account Reconciliations in accordance with Company Policy and as assigned by the Finance Department. 
• Maintain and drive process improvements for reconciling accounts and ensuring integrity of the underlying financial transactions in an auditable and easily understood manner.
• Coordinate and monitor multiple state and local tax jurisdictions with a third-party tax firm, including providing various reports, reconciling general ledger against tax software, tracking filings and payments, and upholding compliance. 
• Evaluate and maintain proper internal controls and related processes.
• Analyze results and collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and relevant information at both a financial and business level.
• Assist in preparation of information for external audit activities.
• Prepare internal and external financial statements.
• Other duties as assigned by Finance Leadership.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field
• Three years of corporate or public accounting or similar experience 
• Outstanding integrity, solid moral judgment, and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Collaborative team player with positive attitude, effective communication, technology, and analytical skills
• Competent in accounting principles and procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or similar field
• Five years of corporate accounting experience or similar in a manufacturing environment
• ERP expertise, with SAP preferred
• Other systems experience, such as Coupa, and FAS
• Professional accreditation – CPA, CMA, or CGMA
