Position Title: Materials Technician I
Department: Warehouse / Shipping / Receiving
Group/Division:Manufacturing
Reports to (Title): Manufacturing Supervisor
Summary
Multi-functional position responsible for assisting in receiving, warehousing, inventory control, consolidation, and shippingfunctions, based on business needs. Including the maintenance of an accurate physical inventory, system transactions and shipping documents.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Inspect all incoming parcels/deliveries for damage. Keeping accurate physical inventory utilizing tracking systems in place.
Responsible for signing off on all package receipts.Ensure accurate piece/part count and that package/box is correctly identified. Document location of goods on the receiving paperwork.
Verify packing slips for delivery purposes and route packages to appropriate destination within Skyline to include both hand and forklift delivery of product.
Stock, organize and pull inventory within the warehouse as requested.
Locate product in the warehouse or on the shop floor using SAP systems in place
Data logging of all pertinent information from transfer sheets as prepared and supplied by other depts.
Responsible for researching and resolving inventory issues with help from other depts.
Acts as interface between warehouse and the Materials dept. for inventory coordination processes.
Pull inventory as required and generally assist Receiving/Materials/Consolidation as needed
Ability to consolidate moderately complex orders and pack securely accurately and efficiently for shipment
Maintain forklift records and conduct basic operator maintenance as required.
Participate in required cycle counting programs.
Assist in other areas as required by the business.

Minimum Education/Certification
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum Experience
3 yearsprevious warehouse experience or equivalent.
Cycle counting and inventory control experience
Knowledge of receiving, warehousing, picking/ packing, and inventory control
Proficient driving both stand up and sit-down forklifts. Or ability to become trained and company certified
Equipment and Supplies Used
Solid computer skills
Forklift/scissors lift/pallet jacks/rolling ladders
Counting scale
Safety gear (i.e. safety glasses, closed toe shoes)
Physical Requirements
Lifting 50lbs. up to a maximum of 100lbs.
Walking, bending, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing 100%
Ability to multitask in a face paced environment
