The Company: Skobel's School Uniforms has been in business for nearly 50 years. We are the largest school uniform vendor in the New Orleans Area.
The Position: We are hiring a store manager for the Belle Chasse location.
The manager’s responsibilities include:
Business Basics – Have business sense to balance customer demand and budgeting for employee scheduling and inventory needs.
Communication – Ability to clearly communicate with colleagues, customers, and everyone you encounter.
Customer Service – Train associates to connect the customer to the product with each engagement.
Brand – Provide customers an experience that is consistent with the Skobels’ brand. Maintain the selling floor in a neat and attractive manner at all times. Merchandise the store to maximize sales.
Integrity - Communicates with respect to all employees and management, sharing ideas, opinions, and knowledge while contributing to an inclusive, empowering and productive environment.
Essential Skills:
3-5 years management experience
Strong customer service skills
Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously in addition to overseeing daily operations
Ability to organize and keep things organized
A strong attention to detail in all aspects of store management from execution of brand to ensuring data accuracy.
Must be able to work a 40 hour work week and be available for overtime as business needs arise (e.g. peak season).
Essential Physical Requirements:
Extensive standing, walking, reaching, pushing/pulling, and working around sales floor and backroom
Hang/fold merchandise
Operate POS register and computer
Lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
Location: Belle Chasse is one of New Orleans’ nicest suburbs. You can be in most areas of the city in 20 minutes.
