The Skirball Cultural Center seeks a dynamic and friendly On-Call Educator to facilitate public programs and/or school tours within Noah’s Ark, the Skirball’s interactive exhibition for children and families, as well as the Archaeology Dig and other outdoor spaces.
Reporting to the Manager of Noah’s Ark and Family Programs and/or the Associate Director of Education, On-Call Educators are part of a collaborative team that implements participatory programs for school groups and/or families of all types, especially those with young children. They facilitate learning through activities such as full-body puppetry, movement, percussion and singing, cooperative games, storytelling, and artmaking. They serve as hosts within the gallery, imparting key Noah’s Ark messages and helping to maintain a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment. They co-teach inquiry-based school programs in Noah’s Ark, at the Archeology Dig, and in other galleries designed for Pre-K through 12 students, supporting all aspects of Skirball’s educational programming.
