Seasonal position based at Fairchild Air Force Base

Position Is Expected to Start on April 15^th 2024

We are looking for a full-time small engine mechanic who would coordinate and perform all activates involved with the maintenance, and basic repairs or all large equipment used to maintain the grounds on Fairchild Air force Base. This includes but not limited to trucks, trailers, field tractors and attachments, and turf mowers. Performs all maintenance and repair of a variety of "fractional-horsepower" gasoline powered equipment. This position would also serve as a backup to grounds staff as needed.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience in the repair and maintenance of gasoline powered equipment preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license, be at least 18 years of age, and have a safe driving record determined by Skils'kin's vehicle insurance carrier.
• Pre-employment background check and background check conducted by airforce base.

Compensation & Benefits:

• This is an hourly paid position.
• Pay is issued every two weeks.
• As required by the Service Contract Act, Skils'kin pays an additional fringe benefit in the amount toward the employee's health and welfare benefits which includes options for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k). Employees also earn paid time off.
