Responsibilities:

Schedule: Daylights Mon-Fri with flexibility based on program needs.

Responsible for the administration and general management of the vocational training facility; ensures the implementation of policies and procedures; responsible for the admission, discharge, safety and protection of the people we support and ensures compliance with applicable state regulations. This will be achieved through the use of positive approaches and with respect to the rights of the people we support.

  • Ensures the protection of the people we support from abuse and neglect; assesses and addresses health and safety concerns.
  • Maintains clean and sanitary conditions at the facility.
  • Promotes self-esteem, serves as an effective role model.
  • Responsible for referral, intake, admission and discharge of individuals to the facility.
  • Oversees the programs at the facility in accordance with each individual's Individual Support Plan (ISP).
  • Acts as a liaison between funding agencies, parents, consumer advocacy groups and other primary stakeholders.
  • Ensures the parameters of the 2390 regulations and contractual obligations are met.
  • Directs, plans, and coordinates the work of assigned employees on a daily basis.
  • Ensures compliance with company and department policies and procedures, applicable laws; State regulations, etc.
  • Interviews and recommends hires for assigned job classifications.
  • Evaluates job performance of assigned employees.
  • Counsels, disciplines, and recommends discharges of assigned employees when necessary.
  • Schedules and prepares staffing patterns and/or schedules for assigned employees.
  • Controls department costs; participates in preparing department financial budgets; conforms to budget parameters; safeguards company assets and resources; analyzes applicable and available financial data.
  • Processes and/or approves assigned employees' payroll and time records.
  • Maintains appropriate level of ongoing employee communications.
  • Orients and trains assigned employees and coordinates appropriate in-service educational programs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • A bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college or university in Business or Engineering OR
  • An associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university in Business or Engineering; and 2 years work experience in industrial work.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent; and 4 years work experience in industrial work, which includes at least 2 years supervisory experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Dependent on education
  • At least two years working with individuals with intellectual disabilities preferred

SPECIAL JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to learn and apply concepts of Everyday Lives and, Positive Approaches, other applicable regulations.
  • Completion of First Aid and CPR certification within six months of employment.
  • Completion of medication training prior to administering medication.
  • Completion of annual medication training refresher course.
  • Must be computer literate and have the ability to learn the organization’s various computer software programs.
  • Completion of crisis prevention and intervention techniques within six months of employment.
  • Other applicable requirements in accordance with human services regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 - $63,856.00 per year
