Skillforce is Hiring a Pipe Welder Near GAITHERSBURG, MD
This is for a project starting mid-June thru September.
Pipe Welder duties:
- Commercial and industrial pipe welding
- Perform various welding techniques, including TIG, MIG, and stick welding, to join metal pipes.
- Use welding equipment and tools to cut, bend, and fit pipes according to specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and isometric drawings to understand pipe system layouts.
- Measure and cut pipes to the required lengths.
- Prepare pipe surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and beveling edges.
Skills Required:
- Proficient in various welding techniques and equipment.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to work in various positions, including standing, kneeling, and crouching, for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and equipment.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces, at heights, and in various weather conditions.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: Up to $35/hr, per diem available if traveling in over 60 miles
