Skillforce is Hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator Near PETERSBURG, VA
We are currently seeking heavy equipment operator candidates with experience in Civil Construction Trades in the Petersburg, VA area. This is a permanent position that we are hiring for. The ideal candidate is hard working, reliable, and works well with a team. Pay is $21-$24 an hour based on skillset and experience.
Candidates with these experiences will be HIGHLY CONSIDERED:
- Current CDL License
- Experience operating machinery to include (skid steer, mini-ex, and outdoor forklift(lull))
- Traffic control experience
Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operator Responsibilities:
- Assist setup and cleanup of work site
- Assist with installation of fences
- Load and unload equipment, tools, and materials
- Tasks such as digging, cleaning out ditches, placing and tying rebar, shooting grades, lifting, and carrying heavy objects
- Operate hand and power tools
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
- Collaborate with the construction team to complete projects on time
Civil Construction Heavy Equipment Operator Qualifications:
- Authorized to work in the US
- Have your own PPE and basic hand and power tools
- Reliable and on time
- Your own transportation
- 2 year commercial construction experience
- Able to travel overnight as needed
