Skillforce is Hiring a Diesel Technician Near Chester, VA

Skillforce Inc. is hiring for a Diesel Technician to join our team in Chester, VA. If you have at least 2 years of diesel technician experience keep reading! The ideal Diesel Technician has experience inspecting, diagnosing, and performing preventative maintenance on diesel powered vehicles. Pay is $26 - $29 per hour based on skillset and experience.

Diesel Technician Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Perform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other diesel equipment as necessary
  • Prepare work orders and order parts
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace

Diesel Technician Requirements:

  • 2 years diesel technician experience
  • Knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment
  • Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics
  • Proficiency in the use of diesel engine diagnostic software
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills

Schedule:

  • Full-time
  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Salary: 

  • $26 - $29/hour Pay based on experience
  • Weekly pay!
