Skill Bird LLC is Hiring a Maximo Administrator Near Glen Burnie, MD

Role: Maximo Site Administrator

Location: 100% onsite in Glen Burnie, Maryland (Applicant must be local)

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Serve under the supervision of the MTA Maximo Site Administrator Manager as the Project Liaison/Coordinator for all Maximo related projects and serve as MTA s initial point of contact for the TSO Maximo Team.
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with user base to address issues and provide guidance on new processes or procedures and take an active role in the Maximo Governance Board.
  • Help develop/implement plans to expand the use of Maximo within MTA, provide training to new and existing users and provide testing support for upgrades/updates on the Maximo platform.
  • Main point of contact for all MTA Maximo Data Quality Control initiatives to monitor data quality, improve data accuracy and completeness and ensure compliance with existing standards and take an active role on all Maximo data initiatives related to interfaces, taxonomy, and reporting.
  • Serve as the MTA Maximo end-user point of contact to resolve any issues and liaise with the TSO Maximo group to identify root cause and effect solutions in a timely manner.
  • Work with Unit Management to develop business processes consistent across the organization. Ensure Maximo Start Centers per role are setup as needed.
  • Review and screen work orders for accurate asset, cost, and material information. Ensure work order completeness and appropriateness of materials and tools and checks with unit supervisors for discrepancies and omissions. Lead efforts with unit supervisors and staff to improve processes to collect and maintain data when gaps exist.
  • Work with Unit Supervisors to Analyze, update, and create job plans to ensure appropriate preventative maintenance plans are in place. Track compliance with programs and informs management of areas for improvement.
  • Participate in revenue and non-revenue service vehicles, and facility planning meetings and interpret Maximo data to support decision-making. Provide Maximo data reports and dashboards to inform MTA Maintenance leadership on O&M issues.
  • Participate in final walk-throughs, commissioning, start-up of new equipment and facilities. Work to ensure new assets are created successfully in Maximo and monitors data compliance to ensure full and complete life cycle of asset data is recorded through retirement.

Duties:

  • User Security Setup - Set-up and modify user security.
  • Maximo Login Support - Troubleshoot login issues caused by Active Directory entries and duplications, workstation configurations, account lockouts, etc.
  • Report Development - Report development in BIRT report writing tool.
  • Navigation and Query - Support for navigation, query, and QBR development
  • IBM Contact/Problem (PMR) Management - MDOT point of contact. Manage Maximo functionality questions and problems.
  • Applying Hot Fix/Patches - Applying hot fixes and patches to Maximo
  • Maximo Upgrades - Upgrade Maximo to newer versions
  • Maximo Development - Perform the Configurations of Maximo to support the business requirements.
  • Training Management - Maximo end-user training and system administration training, development of training materials.
  • Data Loading - Extract data from legacy systems, map, and load into Maximo database.
  • Provide after-hours support as needed.

General Experience: 5 -10 years supporting organizations in similar roles.

  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with team members and understand organizational and operational challenges.
  • Provide problem-solving strategies to address issues.
  • Performs day-to-day operational duties, identifies issues and risks, and recommends possible issue and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Provide solutions to improve efficiency and monitors issues and provide resolutions with status reports as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring that work performed under this TO is within scope, consistent with requirements.

Specialized Experience:

  • 7-10 years’ experience with Maximo and Maximo Implementations may substitute for the required education.
  • Thorough understanding of Maximo 7.6.x features and functions.
  • Certifications a plus but working knowledge is more important.

Education:

  • Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or other related discipline.
  • Master s degree or project management certification is preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $75.00 - $80.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Compensation package:

  • 1099 contract
