Responsibilities:
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate learning and development
- Supervise and monitor children during playtime, meals, and naptime
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery space
- Communicate with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of the children
- Collaborate with other nursery workers to create a positive and inclusive environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with children, such as in early childhood education, nannying, babysitting, or caregiving
- Knowledge of toddler care and early childhood education principles
- Ability to manage a classroom of young children with patience and understanding
- Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and fellow staff members
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain one
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and handle emergencies calmly
Primary hours are Sunday mornings with occasional additional hours for family events as needed.
Background check and previous experience with children required.
