Job Description:

SK Siltron CSS presents an exclusive opportunity for an EHS Security Technician position based in Bay City, MI. The EHS Security Technician will be an integral member of the EH&S team, providing support to the SiC wafer businesses associated with the SK group.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensures the implementation of a detailed, task level, day to day Security, Environmental, Safety and Health programs, utilizing Security and EH&S work processes, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations related to emergency preparedness, health and safety, hazardous materials, waste materials, and air emissions.
  • Management and maintenance of the security processes and protocols (physical security, emergency response, emergency plan development, Immediate Response, etc.).
  • Will update and deliver employee Security, Environmental, Health and Safety training programs.
  • Initiates requests for change to the Site EH&S Manager to improve the best knowledge and experiences.
  • This role is expected to coach teams and individuals on Security and Safety related tasks and activities.
  • Develops and assists in developing and achieving Security, Environmental, Safety and Health goals.
  • Ensures regulatory compliance tasks are completed.
  • Performs / coordinates the Security and participates in Environmental, Safety and Health monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for the facility.
  • As required will participate in the Security, Environmental, Safety and Health related reviews and projects.
  • As required will conduct and document Security investigations of incidents and ensures follow up actions are created and implemented to prevent re-occurrences that are addressed.
  • Maintain and continually improve SK Siltron CSS security protocols, programs, documentation, and management systems.
  • Monitor and maintain site’s Security systems and Fire & Life Safety Systems
  • Direct company employees on appropriate actions in event of an emergency
  • Liaison with responding agencies during an emergency
Physical Requirements:
M-Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a background investigation
  • Willing to work positive coverage shift work
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication and coaching to ensure clarity and alignment across teams.
  • Ability to navigate practical solutions while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in coordinating activities within large groups, ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
  • Demonstrates adherence to policies, ensuring they complement each other and support operational goals.
  • Ability to develop innovative yet practical site-level programs that enhance efficiency without creating unnecessary complexity.
  • Comfortable working with leadership at all levels, contributing to a positive EH&S leadership culture.
  • Openness to change and ability to drive change initiatives, fostering continuous improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and respect for deadlines, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Proficient in communicating with individuals at all levels of the organization, fostering clear understanding and alignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of Associate’s Degree w/Security, Law Enforcement, Fire Science, Homeland Security, or Emergency Management emphasis
  • First responder or military experience
  • State of Michigan MCOLES Certification
  • State of Michigan Fire Fighter I & II Certification
  • State of Michigan Emergency Medical Responder or greater medical license
  • Hazardous Materials Technician or greater certification
  • HAZWOPER Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of Security and/or EH&S Experience
