We are a privately held importer and Direct Mill Source of Decorative yet Functional Fabrics and Vinyls. Our primary customer base is the Hospitality and Contract Industry, as well as the Marine and Healthcare sectors.

Job Overview:

We are looking for a motivated individual with a high attention to detail to work in our Sample Department. The primary purpose of this position is to label and tag fabric samples and then ship them to our customers domestically and internationally. Secondary duties include inventory management for our samples, general e-mail and remotely assisting customers with fabric selection as needed. Computer skills and spreadsheet management recommended. Occasional shipping and receiving, up to 70lbs. This position is PT or FT and pay TBD/ DOE. Office hours are M-F 8am to 5pm.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the entire sample process from start to finish, including sample requests, tracking, and delivery

- Organize and maintain sample inventory, ensuring samples are properly and stored

- Conduct quality checks on samples to ensure they meet company standards

- Assist with order entry and data entry tasks as needed

- Provide exceptional customer service and support to internal teams and external customers regarding sample inquiries

- Utilize computerized systems, such as QuickBooks, for sample tracking and inventory management

- Assist with event planning and project coordination related to samples

Skills:

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

- Excellent attention to detail for proofreading samples and maintaining accuracy

- Exceptional customer service skills to provide support and assistance to internal teams and external customers

- Proficient in computerized systems for order entry, data entry, and sample tracking

- Ability to coordinate projects and events related to samples effectively.

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
