SJS Executives, LLC (SJS), also doing business as SJS Industrial, is currently seeking a talented Environmental Analyst for a position within the Greater Los Angeles VA healthcare system. 

SJS is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with 250 employees coast to coast and a headquarters in Virginia Beach, Virginia; it specializes in professional services to support federal and military organizations.

The Salary range for this position will be $58,240 - $62,000. There will also be 11 paid federal holidays, 56hrs of sick time accrual, 24hrs of PTO (80hrs combined paid time off), medical, dental, vision, and 401k.

Responsibilities:

• Compile and submit wastewater reports, waste manifest summaries, hazardous waste statistics, and recycling program data
• Analyze data to reveal changes in trends, outliers, and areas for improvement
• Coordinate inspections and compliance with various local, country, state, and federal agencies including but not limited to Los Angeles Sanitation, Los Angeles Fire Department, California Department of Public Health, and South Coast Air Quality District
• Serve as OSH department liaison during regulatory inspections
• Develop specialized spill kits and spill response presentations specific to particular chemicals
• Train staff on proper handling and disposal of waste and spills
• Develop training materials and posters about various chemicals and medical areas
• Respond to spills and consolidate hazardous, medical, and universal waste streams according to safe handling procedures
• Summarize and interpret monthly water quality testing results and advise SPS and Infection Control on results
• Attend Safety Research Committee meetings to update the committee on safety related issues
• Other similar environmental analysis tasks as assigned by the OSH Chief.

Requirements:

• Two (2) or more years of career experience as an Environmental Analyst for a federal agency
• Familiarity with Center for Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health (CEOSH), Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA), Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC), and similar environmental compliance requirements.
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a thorough background check for access onto a military installation; please note the background check for this position extends past 7 years, in conformance with federal law and US department of Justice guidelines for work on a military installation.
