Position Title: Automation Engineering Intern

Position Summary:

• Provide engineering support on special projects as directed. Projects may include:
  • Optimizing machine vision system to maximize defect detection and reporting
  • Optimizing machine PLC software to maximize speed (without sacrificing quality)
  • Optimizing machine PC software to improve recipes, error detection, and communication
  • Assembly of new custom manufacturing equipment
  • Other duties related to this position as assigned by supervisor
• Complete assigned Automation Engineering projects in a timely manner with courtesy and professionalism

Education & Experience:

• Working knowledge of PCs, Windows, and MS Office Suite
• Practical problem-solving skills and solid trouble shooting skills a must
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent oral communication skills
• Excellent documentation skills
• Ability to work well independently or with other people in a team-oriented environment
• Self-motivated and works with minimal supervision
• Ability to set priorities and be flexible in a fast-paced environment

Physical Attributes Required:

• Able to sit for 8 hours
• Able to lift up to 30 lbs
• Able to push and pull 10 lbs
