Six Flags Theme Parks is Hiring an Electrical Helper (Part-Time) $16/hr Near Austell, GA

The Seasonal Electrical Helper will assist with the facility functions within the Electrical Shop, as defined below. These positions will report to an Electrical Foreman. 

Pay Rate: $16/hr

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Parking Lot Lighting Audits – Perform scheduled audits of all parking lots. Create lists of non-functioning lights and assists in changing light bulbs.
  • In-Park Street/Midways Lighting/Electrical Audits – Perform scheduled audits of streets/midways within park. Create lists of non-working street lamps, non-working GFI outlets, signage lighting, missing electrical covers, and assists in correcting these issues.
  • Life Safety Audits – Perform scheduled audits for all buildings within the park property, focusing on non-working Life Safety electrical issues such as Emergency Exit lighting, Emergency Exit Signage, and Electrical Panel signage, and assists in correcting these issues.
  • Facility Related Lighting/Electrical Audits – Perform scheduled audits for all buildings on park property. Change light bulbs, install lenses on existing lighting, add/swap out the light switches and outlet covers, reset breakers (based on age and qualifications). 
  • Assist Electrical Foreman in maintaining accurate records as they relate to employee-generated work orders, inventory, and order tracking.
  • Assist in maintaining clean, safe work areas within different locations and electrical areas.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

The Ideal Candidate Should Possess:

  • Electrical aptitude as it pertains to identifying electrical issues (non-working lights, missing outlet covers, non-working Emergency Exit signage/lighting, etc.)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment to correct issues efficiently.
  • Ability to walk, climb stairs, climb ladders, work from scaffolding, and at times, work from heights above 40 feet
  • Willingness to follow all Six Flags Safety Policies in regards to Electrical Safety/Maintenance
  • Willingness to work varied shifts. Nights, weekends and some Holidays
