Pet Sitter Staff

Sitter4paws pet sitter staff provide the highest standard of care to our clients, their homes, and most importantly their pets. You are the only direct, in person contact the pets have while using our service so it is imperative that all our pet sitters are trustworthy, reliable, and communicative.

To be successful as a pet sitter, you must be willing to learn animal behavior and adept at caring for all kinds of pets. Ultimately, an outstanding pet sitter should be able to demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be working with our clients' pets in a private setting (clients homes), following detailed instructions while the owners are away regarding each pet's individual care, and ensuring the health and safety of the pets while the clients are away anytime between the hours of 7a-8p. At the end of every service you will write a detailed report with photos to the clients.

Responsibilities:

• Arriving at clients homes within their allotted time frame and staying for the entire duration of the service.
• Providing pets with food and fresh water.
• Administering medication to pets according to the instructions provided by pet owners.
• Cleaning out litter boxes, cages, and aquariums, as well as changing rodents' beddings.
• Exercising pets as needed, which includes taking dogs out for regular walks.
• Providing regular updates to pet owners, which include communicating with them via email
• messaging using the TTP app as well as sending photos.
• Promptly notifying the office before departing the visit of pet illnesses or injuries that may occur.

Requirements:

• Be 18 years of age or older
• MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK HOLIDAYS (NOV 23rd-26th and DEC 23rd - JAN 1st)
• Experience with dogs and cats
• Have a smartphone and dependable car with current license and insurance
• Available to to work variety of hours/days including holidays and weekends
• Flexible schedule and open to take last minute pet sits
• Be willing and able to handle dogs that may pull on a leash
• Be willing and able to give medication to dogs and cats
• We pay $17 an hour plus milage reimbursement between visits of $0.67 per mile tips

(We hire you as an employee vs. an independent contractor, so you don't need to worry about getting and paying your own insurance).
