Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Optical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing excellent customer service and support in an optical setting.

Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting eyewear and lenses based on prescriptions
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Support optometrists and opticians in various clinical procedures
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance

Skills:
- Knowledge of physiology to understand eye anatomy and function
- Familiarity with medical billing processes
- Basic understanding of optometry practices and terminology
- Proficiency in medical coding for insurance claims
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques for maintaining cleanliness
- Understanding of eye anatomy for accurate assessments
- Retail management skills to handle inventory and sales
- Experience in retail sales to provide exceptional customer service
