Dog Trainer/Kennel Tech- Full Time
Would you like to join the best dog training team in Tampa? Sit Means Sit Tampa is currently hiring a passionate and motivated Trainer/Kennel Tech to work at our training facility. Work with a positive, energetic team and help dogs learn at the same time. The Trainer/Kennel Tech is our quality control coordinator, you are the protector of our reputation. Your training will be the cornerstone of how our clients view our service and encourage them to be our advocates for future clients. Keeping the dogs happy and healthy during their stay, keeping our facility clean and organized will be part of your day to day as well. You set the environment for our team and our dogs to train and perform at their highest efficiency and quality.

On the job training will be provided and this position requires:

• Ability to patiently and lovingly work with dogs of all temperaments, sizes, and breeds. This could also include dogs that are reactive or aggressive towards people or other dogs
• A positive attitude and be a team player
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have reliable transportation
• Trainers will be responsible for working with clients in individual lessons, or group classes.
• The ability to communicate with people while maintaining a high level of excellence in customer service and professionalism
• Our ideal candidate is self-driven, organized, motivated, dependable, flexible and trustworthy
• Be comfortable getting dirty
• Cleaning and Sanitizing kennels and training center
• Must be able to perform snout-to-tail wellness checks on dogs (including eyes and ears)
• Experience with operating devices such as PCs, tablets, and smartphones along with their applications.
• Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
• Able to lift and carry at least 40 pounds or more
• Experience with animals is preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour

Working hours are during weekdays, weekends, and holidays
