How you’ll make an impact:

As a Software Engineering Manager on the iOS team at SiriusXM/Pandora, you will be responsible for leading a team of developers who build and maintain our iOS and tvOS applications. You will collaborate closely with the larger iOS engineering team to establish best practices that drive our apps, contribute to the design and development of new features for our millions of listeners, and provide guidance to the team in creating best in class media applications.

What you’ll do:

Manage, support, and grow a team of iOS engineers who are responsible for building and improving the SiriusXM and Pandora iOS and tvOS apps. Aim to continuously enhance the product's overall quality by engaging in training, conducting code reviews, practicing pair programming, and utilizing other methods that set the team up for success. Work closely with your peers to collaborate on establishing and improving best practices and patterns for our codebase. Collaborate closely with product and design teams to gather and review new requirements. Partner with project managers to plan sprints and ensure timely delivery of tasks, while also proactively identifying risks.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.

• 4 years of native iOS development including 3 years of hands-on experience with Swift.

• 2 years’ experience leading a team of engineers.

• Expert knowledge of developing, testing, and debugging mobile applications using Swift.

• Experience with SwiftUI, async/await, Combine, Codable, and SPM.

• Familiarity with emerging iOS development trends and design patterns.

• Strong skills with object-oriented and reactive design.

• Strong understanding of engineering software processes, lifecycle methodology, configuration management, release management, and system verification and testing.

• Experience providing streaming media direct to consumers.

• Strong comprehension of web services, HTTP protocol, and service-oriented architecture

• Demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor other engineers.

• Ability to effectively work cross-functionally in a fast-paced work environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.

• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and deliver through ambiguity.

• Dedication to thorough testing and creating high quality software.

• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

At SiriusXM, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $ 87,200 to $ 155,000 and will depend on your skills, qualifications, and experience. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives. We encourage all interested candidates to apply.
