Job Title: LVN - Correctional Health

Location: Abilene, TX 79601

Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM ; 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Contract: 13 weeks / 36 guaranty hrs week
Facility: Hendrick Health System

Salary: $40.00 per hour on W2 bi-weekly pay

Duties/Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:

• Position is at 2 local maximum security prisons that we staff the nurses for.
• EMR is required for unit, but it is unique to the prison system.
• Travelers must clear a background check through the Texas Department of Criminal Justice before we can offer positions.
• Once phone interviews are done if the Director is interested we will send that background to be filled out and once it is returned to us we can submit for clearance. The clearance process can take a few days - a few weeks, depending on the situation.
• Assist the RN and PCP with clinic appointments; e.g., physical exams, minor surgeries, casting, identifying minor illnesses;
• Assist mental health professionals by contributing to the treatment planning process and the formal evaluation of patient/youth progress by monitoring and recording observed patient behavior
• Document in the patient/youth health record the nursing care and treatment provided and the
• patient response to facilitate the continuity of care and communicate to other healthcare providers

Pay: $39.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
