Job Description:

Telemetry Monitor Technician would be monitoring all patients on telemetry on 2 ½ units within the Heart Hospital at Edward Hospital – all the 2nd floor, ½ of 3rd floor, and all the 8th floor for a maximum of 70 patients (if every patient on the 2nd & 8th floor & ½ of 3rd floor were on telemetry). MTs will be a hybrid role where staff can work as a monitor tech or patient care tech.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required. Previous experience or telemetry certification
• CPR from AHA or Red Cross required.

General Duties:

• Under general supervision monitors cardiac rhythms or patients in special care units via telemetry equipment.
• Performs related clerical duties such as answering routine questions, taking/relaying calls, ect.

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 3-6 months of previous healthcare/ monitor tech experience preferred.
