Job Title: Lacrosse Director

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lacrosse Director is responsible for managing the YMCA Lacrosse program and also managing High School Intramural Programs. The lacrosse director will help develop strategic priorities and operational/tactical execution plans to help grow the sport of lacrosse in Sioux Falls. Duties will include coordination, communication, and adapting to changing needs of member satisfaction and member retention through sports program participation and facility excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.) Oversee the planning and implementation of the lacrosse programs which includes recreational, competitive and travel programs.
2.) Oversee the planning and implementation of the High School Intramural programs..
3.) Grow and expand programming with emphasis on all aspects of the programs.
4.) Implement a calendar of camps, Try lax events, after school programs, and other activities that will help grow the sport of lacrosse. Will also run the camps and events.
5.) Create an organizational structure to help ensure efficient and effective operations of the lacrosse program. This could include creating registrations, creating teams, organizing leagues, securing fields and scheduling games for the seasons.
6.) Responsible for identifying referees and coaches and assigning them to teams.
7.) Develop and maintain effective partnership to expand and maintain facility use, facility scheduling, and equipment.
8.) Partner with the NPLL on scheduling, league tournaments and other tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Lacrosse background preferred
- Sports Management background preferred
- Must be adult, child, infant CPR/AED certified or willing to obtain certification within 30 days from hire
- Must complete required trainings within deadlines
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
