National Peening is currently seeking a Machine Operator to join our Team in Bedford Heights, OH.

What You Will Do

Machine Operator is responsible for processes involving the hand cabinet and wheel machines. You will inspect parts and sign off on all Blast Clean/Cleaning worksheet First Piece Inspection and Final Inspection blocks.

General

• Learn and demonstrate knowledge of basic elements of Shot Peen machines such as, controls and functions of elevator, conveyor, wheel, nozzle, lance, fixture, air pressure, RPM and shot flow.
• Learn to use Almen Gage and Almen strips to verify part processing meets customer requirements.
• Learn to read and understand/complete shop floor paperwork to maintain proper records and meet customer requirements.
• Learn and demonstrate knowledge of basic elements of wheel machines such as, controls and functions of elevator, conveyor, wheel and shot flow.

What We Want From You

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1 Year of Manufacturing Experience with a basic understanding of shop safety and day to day operations.
