Singleton Vision Center is Hiring an Ophthalmic Technician Near Bern, NC

We are hiring an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team! The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of complex tasks including, but not limited to: ophthalmic testing, scans, and measurements; contact lens fitting and dispensing; visual field testing; pupil dilation and IOP measurement; preoperative and post operative counseling for LASIK and cataract surgery patients; operation of a wide range of testing equipment, IPL, lasers, scans, etc. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious and energetic individual who is looking to work in a fast-paced, rapidly-growing surgical ophthalmology practice.

Responsibilities:

  • perform ophthalmic testing with OCT, Optos, Topo, Ascan, VF, Immersion, etc
  • operate Femto and Eximer laser for LASIK as needed
  • perform start up and end of day processes for clinical space
  • assist in surgical processes such as room turnover, setup, instrument processing, etc. as needed
