Who we're looking forWe want an enthusiastic and talented part-time QA Engineer to work on contract with our growing team. You'll work with our team to test features, define test plans, and perform stability/regression testing on the products we build.

Compatibility Requirements

• MUST BE LOCATED NEAR THE AMERICAS (mainly Canada, USA, Mexico, South America). We are looking for near-shore candidates.
• Must be able to speak and write English fluently at a C2 level. We're a team located in the US and we collaborate often, so you need to be able to communicate clearly.
• Must be able to work a Monday-Friday 9a-5p Pacific Time schedule
• Must have a stable internet connection and sufficient hardware/devices to test with
• Must be available on Slack during your entire work day. Our team is very collaborative and will need to communicate with you on a daily basis to ensure quality standards are met.

Primary Requirements

• Experience testing front-end web applications built on Flutter, Angular, React, Ionic, or similar web frameworks.
• Knowledge of non-relational databases, such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch, as well as knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MSSqlServer
• At least 2 years of experience in automation testing desired
• Experience debugging websites written in HTML/CSS/JavaScript
• Experience testing mobile applications for both iOS and Android - Native and Hybrid
• Cross-browser testing experience to ensure consistent platform experience
• Familiarity with Security Testing or Security scanning software and how to evaluate results
• Experience with Load and Performance Testing and how to evaluate the results
• Experience writing test automation scripts using tools such as Selenium Web Driver, Protractor, Appium, Katalon Studio
• Experience writing test automation scripts to exercise web service endpoints
• Experience with data driven testing
• Experience navigating and understanding the basics of Windows, Linux, MacOS, iOS, and Android operating systems
• Experience with Agile/Scrum software methodology
• Experience using JIRA, GitHub, and other defect tracking tools, as well as agile project management tools
• Familiar with automation frameworks and different framework designs
• Must bring a positive attitude and passion for your craft!

CompensationCompensation will start between $11-14 per hour DOE (based on your fit to the above points). There will be opportunities for growth and additional compensation in the future.
