The Starter / Ranger provides exceptional customer service to golfers throughout the course.
They facilitate safe use of the course and continuity of play by assuring that each group begins play in a timely manner; communicate course information, course layout, pace of play, cart and course rules, etc… Starter / Ranger will manage traffic during peak times to ensure smooth course play, which includes driving the course to ensure pace of play is upheld. They assist golf shop staff in the starting of open play, league play and outings as well as assist with outside services for outings.
Must be able to work flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and evenings. Some moderate lifting, bending, stooping, and reaching will be required, as well as the ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift. Golf course knowledge and experience preferred.
