• Responsible for demand planning within MRP
• Ensures part master data within MRP is accurate
• Reviews BOM’s within MRP, based on product spec for accuracy and demand
• Assists in guiding day-to-day actions within the Material Planning team
• Identifies areas for improvement within material planning workflow and proposes process improvements
• Train and mentor teammates and counterparts on standard planning practices
• Deputizes for the Manager, Planning and Fulfilment when required
• Works in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrates ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals
• Develops an accurate material plan, both internal to Singer and with our suppliers
• Works closely with Engineers, Commodity, Production, and rest of Supply Chain team to ensure we mitigate and resolve part shortages to quickly accelerate production rate
• Maintains fulfillment dashboards, Line of Balances, and shortage reports
• Helps to implement supply chain leading practices
• Displays professional business acumen within leadership and peers
• Assigned as Lead Supply Chain projects and initiatives
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Associate degree
• Four plus (4 ) years of related experience as Material Planner, Production Planner, Material Handler, Commodity Purchasing or equivalent

• Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in SQL and Fishbowl or similar MRP/ERP systems
• Experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing
• Prior experience in rapid growth environment

• Proficient in MS Office, MRP/ERP systems, math, and statistics
• Understands material demand and accuracy of configuration
• Ability to manage process improvements through implementation
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• (mentors/trains/ develops peers)
• Team oriented, strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to multiple deadlines
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently

• Must be able to work in a seated, standing, and/or walking position for extended periods of time
• Must be able to use fingers, hands, and arms at computer keyboard for long periods of time

• Must be able to speak clearly and distinctly and hear and be heard and understood in person and by telephone
