Sinclair Community College is Hiring a Purchasing P-Card Technician Near Dayton, OH

The Sinclair Business Services department oversees a number of student and employee services, which include the Sinclair Campus Store, Aramark Food Services, Duplicating, Mail Center, Parking, and Purchasing. The department is also responsible for maintaining the college’s insurance, property acquisition, liability avoidance and general business activity across campus.
This position administers the Procurement Card (P-card) program for Sinclair College, provides superior customer service & assists with the Purchase Order (PO) process by providing guidance and generating POs as needed.
The salary range for this position is $37,662 – $50,216 and is determined commensurate with experience.

Principal Accountabilities
Administer Procurement Card (P-card) Program – 70%
  • Present new P-card applications to P-card Review Board each month
  • Open newly approved P-card accounts; communicate with applicants, conduct orientation, follow up with training on a monthly basis
  • Set up Amazon accounts as needed
  • Log in monthly P-card reports daily; follow up with late reporters to ensure all P-card activity is reported
  • Audit P-card reports; follow up on non-compliance on a daily basis
  • Make temporary changes to P-card accounts as needed
  • Close P-card accounts as needed
  • Troubleshoot P-card declines as needed
  • Process closure, reissue, billing inquiries as related to P-card compromises as needed
  • Process renewal P-cards as needed
  • Provide occasional P-card program data analysis
  • Run detailed reports on P-card spend as needed
  • Maintain electronic files on a daily basis for all P-cardholders
  • Act as main point of contact with issuing bank
Provide Customer Service & Purchasing team support – 20%
  • Answer questions about Unimarket Requisition process, P-card policy, PO process, purchasing best practices, Sinclair purchasing policy by phone & email on a daily basis ·
  • Provide assistance in navigating concur system on a daily basis · Provide frequent assistance to customers who are entering Requisitions in Unimarket
  • Develop new processes to improve efficiency as needed
  • Update Purchasing website and Electronic forms as needed ·
Update Purchasing Electronic Forms as needed Purchase Order (PO) process – 10% ·
  • Support customers in navigating Unimarket Requisition/Purchase Oreder (PO) process
  • Follow up with customers to obtain required supporting docs for requisitions as needed
  • Generate & disseminate POs as needed
  • Set up new Colleague approvers as needed
Requirements
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 2 Years’ experience working in the field of purchasing or related business field required
  • Computer skills including Excel, Outlook and online communication tools such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams required
  • Unimarket e-Commerce & Colleague System Purchasing Module skills acquired by training provided by Purchasing staff
  • SAP Concur advanced skills preferred
  • Visa program – advanced skills self-taught, program help, program manuals preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication required
  • Excellent keyboarding skills required
  • Superior customer service skills by phone & email required
  • Creative problem-solving abilities for conflict resolution required
  • Deductive reasoning skills required
  • Professional Teamwork: Puts success of the team above own interests required
  • Knowledge of business math and basic accounting preferred
  • Experience with 10 key calculator by touch preferred
  • Consistent follow-through on all tasks to ensure accuracy and timeliness of completion required
  • Other duties as assigned
