Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical Social Worker to join our team. As a Medical Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and counseling to patients and their families during their medical journey. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' social, emotional, and psychological needs
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to address behavioral health concerns
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Assist patients and families in navigating the healthcare system and accessing community resources
- Offer counseling and support to individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities
- Conduct clinical research to contribute to the advancement of medical social work practices
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions

Experience:
- Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Medical Social Worker or related field
- Strong knowledge of behavioral health principles and therapeutic techniques
- Experience in conducting group therapy sessions
- Proficient in coding systems such as ICD-9 for accurate documentation
- Familiarity with cognitive-behavioral therapy approaches
- Previous experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital or clinical setting
