YOU

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for development of industry leading software applications and services for the building industry.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING(% of Time)

Design and develop applications and services with a small, strong collaborative scrum team that focuses on legacy and next generation design and engineering tools for component manufacturers in the wood structure building ecosystem. You will utilize your math and geometry skillset to work with code that translates user input to 3D geometry, performs structural analysis on the geometry and produces engineering reports. Development will primarily be in C for desktop CAD applications and components utilizing MFC, C , and OpenGL with a possibility to utilize WPF, C#, and Cloud based technologies (85%)

Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospectives as part of the Agile Scrum software development lifecycle. (15%)

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or technology, information systems or software engineering course of study or STEM degree (Civil or Mechanical Engineering preferred) with relevant software development experience required.

• 6 years relevant software development experience required.

• Ability to design and develop complex client server software.

• Accomplished in developing high quality, clean, testable code.

• Ability to diligently attend to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner.

• Willingness to learn and utilize new technologies.

• Communicate well, both verbally and in writing, creating accurate documentation, sharing information and ideas with others.

• Ability to build and sustain cooperative working relationships.

• Eager to learn and champion the applications you are working on, humble and open to learn from others.

• Experience in the following areas is desirable but considered a plus:

  • Agile Software Development

  • Git source control

  • Azure or other cloud based development

  • Usage of CAD applications

  • Physics, structural analysis, stiffness matrices, finite element analysis

  • Building industry

Pay

$102300 - $165700 / year
