As an Associate Packer, you will be responsible for packing products in a timely manner consistent with the department’s safety, quality and production goals.
This position reports directly to the Department Manager and is supported by the department’s Team Lead(s). This position works the 1st Shift : Monday through Friday 5 : 00am 3 : 30pm.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)
Ensure that the packing schedule is followed in order to satisfy the needs of our customers. Ensure quality of product meets Company and industry standards. (90%)
Ensure that all quality issues are directly reported to the department lead. (5%)
Ensure that immediate work area remains clean to avoid any safety related issued. (5%)
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Effectively communicate between shifts to ensure departmental goals are achieved.
Measurements : able to read a tape measure to 1 / 32 tolerance and to use combination squares to measure angles to / - 1 degree, micrometers, calipers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, see, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit.
This role operates large equipment while standing for approximately 8-12 hours, regularly twisting and bending in a repetitive motion.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may frequently lift, carry, push and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds, and heavier weights with proper equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The job may risk exposure to heat and / or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts.
