Position Summary:

The Pharmacist provides overall management and strategic leadership of Pharmacy services throughout the facility and affiliated service lines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for facility-wide oversight of the medication use process and patient safety.
• Responsible for compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards associated with Pharmacy Services.
• Responsible for budgetary duties and fiscal performance of the Pharmacy department.
• Provide leadership to pharmacy team members.
• Responsible for resource development and implementation of pharmacy process changes and establishments.
• Conduct performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
• Oversee and assist with unit-dose preparation.
• Maintain an adequate drug supply.
• Subject to irregular hours.
• May be required to wear personal protective equipment as directed.
• Follow infection control and isolations guidelines.
• Adhere to all hospital polices and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

License/Certification:

• Licensure as a Pharmacist in the state of Mississippi.
