Simpson Door Co. has an immediate opening for an experienced and skilled Master Craftsperson.

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Work on a variety of machines and work centers, safely and efficiently.
• You will be using various power hand tools and equipment (orbital sanders, bander, box knife, hammer, cordless drill, tape gun, hot iron, chop saw, door lifts, panel saw, etc.) while making and assembling our high-quality doors.
• Be reliable and able to work overtime hours as needed.
• Must follow company safety procedures and policies and encourage a safe work environment for all team members.

Qualifications

* Solid knowledge of all profiles and machining practices,
* Strong knowledge and use of mathematics,
* The ability to set up and use hand routers/shapers,
* Knowledge or ability to make and use jigs/fixtures for specialty parts,
* Knowledge and use of calipers,
* The ability to read Bill Of Materials and technical drawings,
* Sound knowledge of different wood species,
* Must be able to work well with others.
