Simply Bee is searching for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their growing outpatient program!

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner will provide advanced nursing care for patients with psychiatric disorders from the age of 5 through the lifespan in our Outpatient setting.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial and ongoing psychiatric and physical status based on the presenting symptoms and complaints, establish patient diagnoses, and manage medications for ages 5 through the lifespan in an Outpatient setting
• Document patients’ medical and psychological histories, physical assessment results, diagnoses, treatment plans, prescriptions, and outcomes
• Educate patients and family members about mental health and medical conditions, preventive health measures, medications, and treatment plans
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team members including psychiatrists, psychologists, dietitians and therapists to develop, implement, and evaluate treatment plans
• Communicate effectively with patients and family members regarding their medications, medical needs and other questions as required

Qualifications:

• Masters of Science in Nursing, with a Psychiatric/Mental Health emphasis, from an accredited college or university (required)
• Licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) by the Illinois Board of Nursing (required)
• Experience working with adolescents and families (required)
• Three (3) to five (5) years of clinical experience
• Experience working in higher level of care/hospital setting (preferred)
• Experience working with eating disorder populations (preferred)
• Superior analytical and problem solving abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $115.00 - $130.00 per hour
