simplehuman is seeking an experienced iOS developer to work on iOS applications. The developer will be part of the team that helps us design and expand into more technology-enabled products. The role’s primary focus will be the development of iOS applications and their integration with backend services. The ideal candidate must have experience with iOS App development and integration with serverless cloud tools and development from scratch. The developer should have proven hands-on experience, including Server/Database configurations and maintenance, API development, Responsive Design, Micro Services, and Middleware integrations. The candidate should have a love of clean, scalable code, and a solid understanding of object-oriented programming in a constrained mobile environment. This is a full-time position in our Torrance, CA office.

Responsibilities include:

• Develop and architect features that leverage the latest iOS technologies, such as extensions, inter-app communication and more.
• Integrate with the cloud architecture and deploy for new products, apps and e-commerce platforms (Shopify preferred).
• Work closely with product managers and UX team to take an idea from concept to delivery.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation, as well as the servers for ecommerce and IoT operations.

You…

• 2-4 years of professional iOS app development experience using Swift
• Experience with implementing core frameworks for the basic required functionalities such as animations, AR, BLE communication, external API calls from the app.
• Comfortable using GitHub for version control
• (Bonus) Experience with Python / Jacascript / React / ES6
