Simonsdale Early Education Center is Hiring a Preschool Teacher Near Portsmouth, VA

Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing a nurturing and educational environment for young children. This is a full-time position with competitive pay.

Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities to promote the intellectual, social, and emotional development of children
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning
- Provide a safe and secure environment for children, ensuring their well-being at all times
- Use effective classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and promote positive behavior
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate interventions
- Maintain accurate records of each child's attendance, development, and milestones
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations and standards

Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting, preferably in early childhood education or daycare
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques
- First Aid/CPR certification is preferred

Skills:
- Strong classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each child
- Proficiency in organizing and maintaining a clean and stimulating classroom environment
