Simon Wiesenthal Center is Hiring a Temp-Hire AV Project Manager Near Los Angeles, CA

About the role: 

The Simon Wiesenthal Center (or) The Museum of Tolerance is seeking an experienced AV Project Manager to help design and maintain AV equipment for the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Museum of Tolerance. This is a contract position, estimated 25-40 hours per week, with an initial 6 month scope. 

About you:

You are a passionate about the audio visual field and staying up to date on the latest technology. 

This position will report to the operations team and is based in Los Angeles. 

Responsibilities

  • Overall project management from conception to implementation of AV related to exhibitions, special projects and infrastructure.
  • Assist with the development and oversight of project budgets.
  • Provide active, collaborative leadership, identify and develop improved procedures and techniques.
  • Manage multiple vendor relationships. 
  • Provide support to Technical Service department, and fill in for Technical Service Manager, as needed. 

Experience and Skills:

  • A minimum of five years of experience and a proven record of delivering world class media-based installations and/or exhibitions.
  • Advanced knowledge of the latest innovations in audio; lighting; and projection design.
  • Proven experience delivering large scale multimedia projects.
  • Must be able to multitask on numerous projects while overseeing successful outcomes.
  • Ability to analyze situations quickly and determine proper response.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, agile environment where you will get your hands into the details.
