Gallery Books is seeking a Publicity Assistant to join the publicity team. In this role, the ideal candidate will support both the Deputy Director of Publicity and Publicity Manager in the creation and execution of campaigns for books ranging from celebrity memoir to commercial fiction to compelling nonfiction. Imprints include Gallery Books, 13A, and Scout Press. The ideal candidate would have previous publicity or related experience and will possess excellent organization and communication skills and a strong ability to multitask and think creatively. Responsibilities will include:Day-to-day administrative support for the Deputy Director of Publicity and Publicity ManagerSupporting with media campaigns, event logistics/book tours, booking author travel (flights, cars, hotels etc.), and keeping track of expensesCoordinating and sending out review copies to mediaResearching and compiling media contact lists and press clippingsCreating and writing press materials and pitchesAdministrative duties on a case-by-case basis within the publicity department.Role Requirements.
