Job OverviewThis is a role within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old company with offices around the world, that is also the only US owned book publishing house. For this role we are seeking experience Janitor. What you will be doing on a daily basisSweeping and dustingEmptying trashTransporting pallets from different locations to assigned area using an electric rider pallet jackOperating a forklift to lift/lower pallets/totes from the mezzanineAssisting with department projectsSupporting different departmental tasksPerforming case-sealingConducting split-case picking Some requirements:Previous janitorial experience preferred.t.Ability to handle 50 pounds.You must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skills.Some analytical experience is preferable.You must have the ability to stand for up to 8 hours/dayShift and Schedule:Our distribution facility operates in 3 shifts and this particular role is part of the Morning shift, working Monday- Friday (5:00 AM – 1:00 PM). There is an opportunity for overtime as well.
