DescriptionThe Art Department Assistant / Coordinator is responsible for a variety of departmental support duties including: Support to the VP, Creative Director for calendar, meeting scheduling, expense reporting, business travel, departmental and interdepartmental communications. Support for the department includes tracking missing assets, generating weekly exception reports, providing layered files to Marking, Subrights, and Ad Promo, helping to ensure assets are feeding to retailers, managing departmental invoices, managing weekly Cover Meeting Agenda and file distribution, book distribution, ordering supplies, purchasing fonts, coordinating submission process and file preparation for various national and international book shows, fairs and competitions. QualificationsBFA or equivalent degree with college or post-college experience in publishing. Must be extremely well organized, with excellent written and oral communication skills, Must be able to multi-task across projects and departments, be cool under pressure and able to think on your feet to anticipate potential problems. Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word is required. Coding experience a plus.
