ESSENTIAL POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Records down time and other production-related data. Prevents the hydroflex discharge from creating chain stoppages (which prevents overcooking of product and filler downtime).
Fill out HOLD tags as required.
Communicate with the Krones operator during code changes. Empty Britestacker of cans on change over. Notify tow motor drivers of change over.
Feed product in for labeling as production flow allows.
e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc. Accepts responsibility to quickly identify any areas that lack cohesiveness, bringing them to the attention of the team leader and working with the team in a supportive manner to resolve issues and actively look for ways, and reinforces actions needed, to achieve synergy possible within the larger organization.
Simmons Operating systems principles and objectives : Is familiar with Simmons’ established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies);
understands the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.

Physical Activities : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and walk.
Physically move empty pallets weighing up to 50 lbs in and out of the equipment.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) : Steel toed shoes, Ear Plugs, Hair Net, Safety glasses
Travel : N / A.
Technical Experience : Machine Operation preferred.
Industry Experience : Experienced within a manufacturing / process environment with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices.
Minimum Education : High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to read, write and understand English. Must be able to obtain and keep a forklift license.
Preferred Education : N / A.
Competencies : Enjoys working with others and sees teamwork as a more productive environment. A highly responsive ability to react to daily production priorities in a calm and focused manner.
Communication skills & decision quality - Must have the ability to make good decisions and communicate effectively with others and leadership team.
