Position Overview:SIMBA Chain is looking for a Frontend Software Engineer who is passionate about both web and mobile development. We are looking for someone with experience in React Native to enhance our mobile application development. The ideal candidate should also be proficient in at least one modern JavaScript framework (Vue, Angular, or React), enabling them to effectively contribute to our web and mobile projects with versatile skills and up-to-date practices. A strong predictor for success will be evident in a candidate with experience working in teams on a shared codebase with multiple releases in an agile, DevOps, CI/CD environment. This person will also need to feel comfortable working on multiple projects and leading its frontend implementation. Excellent attention to detail is paramount and the engineer ideal for this position should enjoy working with JavaScript / TypeScript but also the styling/CSS aspects of the job. This individual collaborates well with other team members and stakeholders on all parts of the stack (from our designers to backend developers to DevOps), enthusiastic about blockchain technology now and beyond the existing landscape.
What you’ll be doing at SIMBA:

• Develop mobile applications using Reactive Native and React Paper
• Utilize state management libraries in Reactive Native such as Redux or Context API
• Develop new features for existing applications in Vue 2 and Vue 3
• Build and maintain web applications using Vue 3 and Vuetify
• Manage application state efficiently using Pinia in Vue 3 applications
• Create reusable and modular components for both web and mobile applications
• Evaluate new tools and frameworks to find the best fit for future projects
• Provide accurate estimates for tasks and effectively contribute to sprint planning for the team
• Collaborate closely with our UX team to implement the wireframes and component designs
• Implement responsive design to ensure web applications are usable across various devices and screen sizes
• Collaborate with backend engineers and agree on interfaces/contracts between frontend and backend teams
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and other backend services, both in-house and third-parties
• Work closely with existing front-end engineers and thoroughly review peer codes to identify bugs, resolve errors, and improve code quality
• Other duties as assigned

Experience & Skills to be successful:

• Must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience of React Native/React Paper
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced working environment

• Understanding of version control with Git and workflows involving branching, pull requests, and code reviews
• Must be willing to participate in government-related projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• MUST be a US Citizen
• Ability to pass background check and willingness to obtain US security clearance

Extra Bonus Points:

• Deep understanding of Vue 3's composition API, reactivity system, and lifecycle hooks
• Experience with Vuetify for building responsive and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces
• Ability to optimize components for performance and understand state management using Pinia
• Familiarity with React Paper for material design or other React Native component libraries
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines
• Experience with Blockchain applications and smart contract APIs and languages such as Solidity
• Understanding of blockchain general concepts and knowledge is a plus
• Experience working in a similar blockchain as a service company
• Currently possess Secret or Top Secret Security clearance, a plus
