Job Summary: Internship focusing on development activities Job Description: ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Create, maintain, and debug existing automated test cases across multiple environments and customers. Develop carrier, agency & consumer web applications according to specifications or business requirements overseen by full-time development staff. Ability to work with a diverse project team, including .Net Developers, Database Developers, QA Staff, Business Analysts, and Project Managers. Understands Silvervine's products, release schedules, organizational structure and business goals/objectives. Develops a working knowledge of product, including its configurability options and available functionality. Utilizes internal defect tracking software as projects are completed and on an ongoing basis as required. Performs other duties as assigned. COMPETENCY & EDUCATION SPECIFICATIONS: Enrolled in B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or related discipline and/or equivalent, relevant work experience. Strong problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to reason logically and provide solutions. Strong work ethic and the ability to deliver solutions under deadlines. ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Works 10-20 hours per week during the school semester. 30-40 hours during summer and school breaks. Mostly sedentary. Regulated indoor environment - natural and/or florescent lighting. Open concept work environment – light to moderate noise activity.
