IMMEDIATE HIRING FOR DIETARY DIRECTOR $17.00 PER HOUR
The Dietary Director is responsible for the overall operations of the kitchen and dining areas.
- prepares and ensures compliance with budget and inventory management
- prepares menu cycles
- monitors strengths and weaknesses of department to ensure continuous improvement
- provides recruiting, training, and performance management of kitchen staff
- ensures that all equipment is maintained in good working order
- oversees compliance with food preparation and service safety guidelines
- directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals
- budgets food supplies
The Dietary Director carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies
and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:
- interviewing, hiring, and training employees
- planning, assigning, and directing work
- appraising performance
- rewarding and disciplining employees
- addressing complaints and resolving problems
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from 4-year college or university; or 1-2 years related experience and/or
- valid Food Handler certification
- CPR certification preferred
- AED certification preferred
- culinary education
- ability to multi-task
