Responsibilities:
Demonstrate command of subjects being taught
Collaborate with the administrator to develop and prioritize short and long-term instructional goals and student profiles
Conference with resource students’ parents at the beginning of the school year and at the end of the school year to discuss the student’s plan and progress.
Evaluate, select, and modify resources and activities
Utilize scientifically researched effective instructional strategies and methods of providing information for students to acquire learning
Provide formative assessments that measure student progress
Explain and model instructional intervention strategies for teachers
Conduct assessments on all incoming students and do post-assessment at the end of the school year
Promote a positive learning climate
Demonstrate sound classroom management skills
Establish and maintain rapport with parents and classroom teachers through email, phone calls, and parent meetings
Able to collaborate with teachers and parents as partners
Able to disciple and mentor students
Able to integrate biblical truths and a biblical worldview in teaching
Participate in professional growth and professional learning opportunities
Integrate appropriate technology, use of smartboard, and iPad apps in all instructional strategies, to make student learning collaborative and interactive
Support ideas and policies of the administration
Maintains a professional standard of dress and an engaging personality
Prompt and continuous attendance on campus
This position is for the academic school year of 24-25, starting 8/1/2024
Additional Job Information:
Willingness to sponsor extra-curricular activities/clubs or be able to coach an athletic team
Willingness to obtain an ACSI certification
Bachelor Degree in Special Education

Possesses outstanding interpersonal, oral, writing, and technology skills
