Silverdale Baptist Academy is Hiring a High School Math Teacher Near Chattanooga, TN

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate excellence in teaching Math including grading and recording assessments in a timely manner
  • Demonstrate knowledge in the area of high school coursework and have the ability to explain Mathematics concepts well
  • Demonstrate sound classroom management skills
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the developmental age of a high school student
  • Cultivate a positive learning environment
  • Tutor students in the subject matter taught
  • Communicate well with parents and keep them informed of the student’s progress
  • Integrate appropriate technology to make student learning fun, collaborative and interactive
  • Sponsor and organize a J-Term course
  • Support ideas and policies of the administration
  • Possesses outstanding interpersonal, oral, writing and technology skills
  • Able to collaborate with teachers and parents as partners
  • Able to disciple and mentor high school students
  • Able to integrate biblical truths and a biblical worldview in teaching Mathematics

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree with Mathematics endorsement
  • Willingness to sponsor extra-curricular activities/clubs or be able to coach an athletic team.
  • Willingness to obtain an ACSI certification
